EVENT BASICS
When is Freddie’s Cruise-In?
Freddie’s Cruise-In is held each year on the Saturday after Labor Day as part of Vassalboro Days. In 2026, the Cruise-In is Saturday, September 12, from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM, with a rain date of Sunday, September 13.

How much does it cost?
Admission is free for vehicles and spectators.
Where should spectators park, and is there a shuttle?
Freddie’s Cruise-In is held at the Vassalboro Town Office. Spectator parking is available across the street in the lot next to the fire station. Please follow posted signs and directions from event volunteers when you arrive.
Additional parking is available at other Vassalboro Days event locations. A shuttle bus travels between participating locations approximately every half hour on Saturday.
Please do not park on the street or block the fire station driveway.
What happens if it rains?
We plan for the following Sunday as our rain date each year. For 2026, that’s Sunday, September 13. Weather updates will be posted on the Freddie’s Cruise-In Facebook page, so check there before heading out if the weather looks questionable.

BRING YOUR RIDE
What kinds of vehicles are welcome?
Hot rods, rat rods, modern muscle, classics, customs, vintage cars and trucks, and other interesting vehicles. All makes and models are welcome.
Do I need to register my vehicle?
Nope. There’s no preregistration, registration, or registration fee.
Is this a judged car show?
No. Freddie’s Cruise-In is a relaxed, informal cruise-in rather than a judged show.
What time should I arrive with my vehicle?
The Cruise-In officially starts at 9:00 AM, but show vehicles usually begin arriving around 8:00 AM. With a large turnout expected, arriving early is recommended.
Where do I enter with my show vehicle?
Show vehicles should enter at the Vassalboro Town Office. Volunteers will be on hand to direct you to the Cruise-In parking area. Please follow their directions when entering and parking.
Can I bring a lawn chair or cooler with my show vehicle?
Yes. Show vehicle entrants are welcome to bring a lawn chair and a small cooler to keep with their vehicle during the Cruise-In. Please keep chairs and other belongings close to your vehicle, so the aisles remain clear.
Can I leave before 2:00 PM?
Yes. You may leave at any time. Please use extra caution when driving through the Cruise-In area, as there will be spectators and other vehicles nearby.
AT THE CRUISE-IN
Can I come just to look at the cars?
Absolutely! Freddie’s Cruise-In is open to the public, spectators are welcome, and admission is free. Bring your friends and family and come enjoy the cars and when your hot rod is ready, bring that too!
Is Freddie’s Cruise-In family-friendly?
Absolutely. Freddie’s Cruise-In is a relaxed, family-friendly event and everyone is welcome. Come check out the cars, enjoy Vassalboro Days and spend the day with us.
Is alcohol allowed at the Cruise-In?
No. Freddie’s Cruise-In is an alcohol-free event. Please do not bring or consume alcoholic beverages on the event grounds.
Is there food?
You bet! Food and refreshments are available during the event, so you can grab something to eat while you enjoy the Cruise-In and Vassalboro Days.
Should I bring cash?
Yes, bringing some cash is a good idea. You may want it for food, prize tickets, the 50/50 drawing, and other activities during the day.
Are restrooms available?
Yes. Portable restrooms are available at the back of the lot near the concessions and Town Office building.
Are there prizes or giveaways?
Yes! Thanks to the generosity of our fantastic sponsors, we hold prize drawings every hour throughout the event. Participants who bring a vehicle receive free prize tickets. Spectators may purchase tickets, and participants can purchase additional tickets if they wish.
Where do the proceeds go?
Proceeds from Freddie’s Cruise-In are donated to the Vassalboro Business Association Scholarship Fund, supporting local students.
